The Munsters Return to Television in a NBC Reboot
I shouldn't be shocked that once again Hollywood is taking a great classic and rebooting it for today's generation. NBC has been toying around with the idea of creating a new Munster's series.
The idea fell by the wayside, but they decided to go for it and have ordered a pilot. It is possible that we'll see the reboot on TV next fall. I do not have details on who will be playing, Herman and Lily, Grandpa, Eddie or Marilyn.
All I know is the Munster Mobile better be awesome, and hopefully they can get the original mansion. On a side note, did you know that the mansion is located in Waxahachie, Texas.
The original series ran from1964-1966 and starred Fred Gwynne, Al Lewis, Yvonne De Carlo and Butch Patrick.
See the original opening here.
They tried a reboot called The Munsters Today that ran from 1988-1991 (I'm surprised it ran that long, it was horrible)
Who would you cast to play the beloved Munster characters for the 21st century reboot of The Munsters?
