These Facts About Certain Fruits and Vegetables Will Blow Your Mind

I don't know if I'm naive or I just don't pay attention, but all my life I have been thinking that a certain fruit is a fruit and it isn't.  It's a vegetable.

Over the weekend, Josh and I were setting around talking about stuff and we talk about random stuff.  We were talking about berries and fruit and what not and he mentioned that he saw a package of watermelon seeds at Walmart that were misprinted.  They said watermelon was a vegetable.  I mean watermelon isn't a vegetable.  How could someone make such a huge mistake on packaging.

So, I pulled out my trusty friend Google and the packaging wasn't wrong.

Watermelon. Is. A. Vegetable.

What?  How can this be?  How could I have been duped all my life?

What else have they lied to us about?

I love watermelon, but I've always known it as a fruit.  But no, it's a vegetable.  In fact, it's the official vegetable of the state of Oklahoma.
