Trinity Fellowship Faces Lawsuit Over Molestation Charges [UPDATE]
Trinity Fellowship Church in Amarillo is being sued because of a volunteer pastor who molested an underage female.
Randy Castillo, known to the congregation as 'Pastor Randy,' has been charged with aggravated assault on a child and sexual assault on a child by Randall County. He has been accused of asking for nude photos from female minors and sexually molesting one minor more than once.
Glasheen, Valles, & Iderman, LLP is suing Trinity Fellowship Church for allegedly knowing about the abuse and taking no action against Castillo.
According to the law firm, leaders at the church were informed that Castillo had been asking for nude photos from junior high-aged girls who attended Trinity Fellowship, but they did not inform parents or authorities.
The authorities were not notified of the situation until the underage female's parent found texts on her phone that led to the discovery of Castillo's assault.
Right now, these claims are only allegations.
