Amarillo Finally Got Some Rain!

So in the middle of the night last night, my dog started barking, then jumped on top of me and started shaking.  It took me a second to realize that it was thundering and she hates thunder.  Then after realizing it was thundering I stopped and listened and heard the most wonderful sound, the sound of rain.I got so excited that I nudged my husband.  Of course, being in the middle of the night, I got a grumpy, "What?!?".  I told him to listen.  It only took a second then excitement took over him as well.  "Is that rain?, That's Rain!, It's about time."  Then he rolled over and went back to sleep.

According to the ProNews Storm Search 7 Command Center we received over and inch of rain here in Amarillo.

It was much needed rain, especially with this drought.  I was so excited I did a happy dance this morning!
