April 12, The Amarillo and Visitor Council will be hosting their 36th annual Golden Nail Awards to honor those who donate money and time to the area’s non-profit art organizations.

I personally find myself constantly surprised at the size and quality of Amarillo’s thriving arts community. The Texas panhandle as a whole is blessed to have so much available as far as the arts are concerned, and this event seeks to honor those who have given of themselves to make it possible.

The Golden Nail Awards event this year is a cocktail party and award show, with 12-15 awards being presented. Categories include individual, business, distinguished volunteer, distinguished up-and-coming volunteer, foundation/non-profit, and golden touch which is an award recognizing an event. The summit award will also be presented.

The Golden Nail Awards will be hosted this year in the Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts on April 12. Catering will be provided by Chef Rocky Dunnam of Nineteen49, and Palace Coffee will be serving coffee.

You can find out more and make your reservations at the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce’s website.
