Amarillo Police Department Is Having A Shindig At New Office

The Amarillo PD has announced the grand opening of the new Hamlet Neighborhood Police Unit Office. It is located in the New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church at 3100 Angelus.  APD will have a celebration open for the public on Friday, August 28, 2020, from 6-8pm at the Angelus office.

CrimeStoppers of Amarillo will be there to do kids ID cards. APD will also have giveaways and free gun safety locks for anyone who requests one. Amarillo Police will have a drawing for a Ring doorbell camera; the department says that the winner doesn’t have to be present. They will also have sno cones from Charlotte’s Web.

This event is open to the public. Amarillo Police Department asks that everyone bring a mask and follow social distancing rules.
