This Is A Historic Day As Amarillo’s New Women’s Health Clinic Opens

A much-needed medical resource is finally open in the Texas Panhandle. The City of Amarillo's Women's Health Clinic opened today (4/28/25).

This day has been coming since late 2024, when the City Council approved well over a million dollars for a women's clinic at Amarillo Public Health.

The new women's clinic not only expands the kinds of services provided by Amarillo Public Health, but it also gives greater access to resources to a lot of women in the panhandle.

The services offered by the Women's Clinic include:

• Mammogram Referrals
• Contraception Options
• STD Testing and Treatment
• Pregnancy Testing
• Domestic Violence Counseling
• Screening For Cervical Cancer
• Pre-Prenatal Care

When Is The New Women's Clinic In Amarillo Open

The Women's Clinic is officially open and seeing patients. You can make an appointment by calling the Public Health Department at 806-378-6300.

The Women's Clinic is located at Amarillo Public Health. If you don't know where that is, you can find it at 850 Martin Road. The Women's Clinic will be open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

This is great news for the women of Amarillo and the Texas Panhandle, who may not otherwise have access to these types of resources. What's really exciting is the variety of resources that will be available, from mental health to maternal care.
