Texas is a vast state with a population of about 30,000,000. Of that 30 million, half are females.

Not only do women make up half the population of Texas, they make up half the population of the United States.  That's why this new study is somewhat disheartening, especially since Governor Greg Abbott just designated March as Women's History Month in Texas.

This WalletHub study delved into all 50 states in the US, including DC, and looked at the data of median earnings for female workers, health care for women, and the homicide rate of women, among other things.

With all the data studied, Texas landed in the 47th spot. Making the top 10 for the worst states for women.

However, with all that said, Texas women are a different breed. Texas women thrive on independence.  Although it's nice to have a partner, Texas women are no nonsense and can do things for themselves.  They have a take charge sense of life and most don't take any [poo] from anyone else.  Their resilience is inspiring.
