‘American Horror Story: Freak Show: Michael Chiklis’ Season 4 Strongman Revealed
Thus far only bits and pieces of 'American Horror Story''s fourth season 'Freak Show' have been revealed, including franchise veteran Sarah Paulson's two-headed character, and the latest reveal accomplishes some heavy lifting. Find out who 'Freak Show' freshman Michael Chiklis will play in 'American Horror Story' season 4, and whom he might have the most horrifying encounters with!
According to TVLine, series creator Ryan Murphy revealed from the recent Critics' Choice Television Awards that the one-time 'Fantastic Four' Thing and 'No Ordinary Family' strongman will play yet another man endowed with super-strength, "a strong man who’s married to Angela Bassett['s character]." Moreover, it seems Chiklis will share quite a few scenes with 'Coven''s dynamic trio of Bassett, Jessica Lange and Kathy Bates:
He has scenes with Angela and Jessica Lange and [onscreen ex] Kathy Bates. I love the part because it’s really written to be quite vulnerable, which is something I think Michael does so well – the strong man who’s vulnerable. I’m very excited to see [him] tussle with all those great ladies. And he’s really up for it, really excited about it.
Set in 1950 Jupiter, Florida, the new ‘Freak Show’ season will see Jessica Lange as a German ex-patriot running one of the last American freak shows, a cast of rescued “unusuals” that also includes ‘Coven‘ and franchise stars Denis O’Hare, Evan Peters, and Frances Conroy. Last we heard, ‘Coven’ newcomer (and Peters’ real-life girlfriend) Emma Roberts was reportedly in talks to return as well.
