This week Patti with the Amarillo SPCA brought us Gizmo. Gizmo is an owner surrender about a year old. She's a cute little Pekingese that needs all the love and cuddles she can get. She needs a forever home.

You love your pet and you would never want anything to happen to them. That's why it is important to have your pet microchipped. Having them microchipped means if they ever get out or get lost, they can be scanned and your information will pop up.

Coming up this Saturday the Amarillo Zoo and the Amarillo Opera are joining forces for ZOO Tunes!

With all the drama with strays and rescues over the last month, it's good to know that we have a wonderful no-kill shelter in Amarillo and that is the Amarillo SPCA. If you love animals and you love garage sales, then have I got the event for you. You can support this wonderful organization by shopping or donating items.

We love our city,but sometimes the bad news of our city takes over. A SWAT team got called out on a domestic violence call, another wreck took a a life, another shooting happened. That's what we seem to hear daily. However, it is a breath of fresh air when we hear about our APD officers doing something kind and sweet.

I make it a life rule, that there are no dead snakes. Especially rattlers. They actually can be quite dangerous, even dead.
