Dancing With The Stars alum and World of Dance judge, Derek Hough, underwent emergency surgery on Saturday morning (November 16).

The professional dancer and host shared that he woke up from a "sharp pain" in his abdomen and went to the hospital. "Turned out it was appendicitis and had surgery to remove my appendix straight away," the 34-year-old wrote on Instagram.

Along with the medical update, he also shared a video of him dancing in a hospital gown. "This is me immediately after, still a little (a lot) medicated, giving @hayley.erbert a (sexy) little dance," he joked.

Hough shared more details about his operation on his Instagram stories where he revealed that he had just gotten off the plane from a trip to South Korea when his stomach began to hurt. He fell asleep as it got "progressively worse."

He ended up looking up the symptom online before waking up his girlfriend, Hayley Erbert, to take him to the hospital. "I could barely walk, I was kind of like crawling on the floor, hunched over in pain," he recalled.
