This is just one of the facts packed into the latest episode of You Think You Know Movies, which lets it hair down with Tangled!
Tangled hit a lot of landmarks on its way to theaters. In addition to being Disney’s 50th animated film, it was also the first fully CG-animated fairy tale movie from the studio. Because of the complexities of animating human hair (especially hair as long and complex as Rapunzel’s), the film took six years to make and cost over $250 million, making it one of the most expensive movies of all-time. It was also the first Disney Princess film to get a PG rating.
