We have one of the best historical museums in the country right in Canyon, The Panhandle Plains Historical Museum.  If you haven't been in awhile, then you need to make plans to go check out the museum this weekend.  Not only will you love it, the Christmas fun will make it just that much more enjoyable.  So mark your calendars to attend their Christmas open house.

You have 2 chances to enjoy the Panhandle Plains Historical Museum Christmas Open House.

Friday, December 5th from 5-8pm or Saturday December 6th from 1-5pm

Cost: One canned food item per person for the High Plains Food Bank..

The museum will come to life as you step into Pioneer Town.  You'll get to experience Christmas in the 1890's.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there and ready to meet the kids and add their requests to his list.

Then the kids can make Christmas crafts in the craft corner.

Then the kids can sit near the crackling fire and enjoy Christmas stories, or enjoy several children's choirs and entertainers as they fill the museum with Christmas carols.

If you come on Saturday, you and the kids will have the opportunity to decortate your very own Christmas cookie.

So make plans to come and enjoy the Panhandle Plains Historical Museum.   Remember, there isn't an admission charge, however they are requesting one can of food per person for the High Plains Food Bank.
