Needing Dental Work In Amarillo? Here’s How To Get It For Free.
Having dental work done is important. We all know that. We also know that it can be incredibly expensive, and that's what keeps some of us from getting the care we need. Fortunately, there's an event coming up in Amarillo that removes the cost barrier to getting work done on your pearly whites.
Free Dental Care In Amarillo, Texas
With the cost of care being the biggest barrier to getting dental work done, a free clinic is a great solution for all of us. The free dental care coming up in Amarillo is supposedly the first one of its kind to happen in our city in 5 years. The goal is to give basic dental care to those of us who don't have the resources or access to regular dental care.
If you attend, you'll be able to get cleaning, extractions, and fillings done for free. The event is at the Civic Center on November 8-9, and it starts at 6 AM each day. It is first come first served. You don't need an ID, insurance, or documentation. They will need to know your medical history and what medications you're currently taking, if any. Also, patients must be at least 8 years old, and if you're under 18 you'll need a parent or guardian with you.
Texas Mission Of Mercy Bringing Dental Care To Underserved Communities
The whole event is being put on by the Texas Mission of Mercy. Texas Mission of Mercy is an organization that wants to bring free dental care to "underserved communities" across the Lone Star State. It's an admirable cause and something that is needed. Times are tough, and dental work is usually first on the chopping block when it comes to budgeting.
There is a way for you to get pre-screened so that you can make the day you go in for your dental work a little bit quicker. You can get more information by following this link to their website. You can also check out their Facebook page to keep up with the latest.
If it's been a while since you've had dental work done, and the cost is something that's holding you back, be at this event.
