It’s International Sushi Day- Lori’s Favorite Sushi Restaurants in Amarillo

Lemongrass Sushi and Wok is my favorite new place for sushi! My favorite roll is the Spicy Tuna Roll. Love it because they used sliced tuna in their Spicy Tuna Roll and not flaked tuna mixed with spicy mayo.

Another great feature is what is included in the picture and that is their Fuji Mountain. It isn't on the menu but if you ask your server for it. They will bring this beautiful edible artwork to your table.

Young's Sushi Rocks has been voted Best of Amarillo for Sushi! My favorite roll is their Monkey Balls. They are very reasonable priced.

I go to Hayashi for their West Texas Roll. It is a tempura shrimp with avocado, cucumber, jalapeno sticks, cream cheese, topped with crab and a spicy mayo. YUM! It is to die for and why Hayashi makes my list.

Kushi Yama has delicious sushi rolls. I have frequented this restaurant for a sushi lunch. There is one roll that I swore I would never try. However, one day I was doing a live broadcast from the restaurant and the chef brought out a roll. I kindly asked him not to tell me what it was until after I had eaten a bite of it. Luckily he didn't because I have an aversion to certain things. That is the day I fell in love with their Dragon Roll*. Yum! The Dragon Roll is Shrimp Tempura, Cucumber, Avocado, Yamagobo, B.B.Q Eel, Unagi Sauce. At the time if he had told me eel was in it I would have never touched it. I'm glad I did. It was DELICIOUS!!! *not pictured
