It’s National French Fry Day-Lori’s Top 5 French Fries in Amarillo
Today, July 13th is National French Fry day and in honor of today I thought I would put together a list of the best french fries in Amarillo. I love french fries and I hope you do to, in fact, I may have to have some french fries for lunch.
When it comes to plain not dressed up french fries, McDonald's wins hands down. They are a meal in themselves or perfect as a snack. I don't know what it is about these little golden sticks of deliciousness, but they are the best fried comfort food ever!
Even ProNews 7's Daybreak host Meredith Keller loves them, she posted on her facebook, "McDonalds fries are my weakness."

Blue Sky's Cheese Fries are the best because they are thinly sliced fries with the skins still on. They fry them up and top them off with their selection of cheeses and top it with bacon. I'm not a big fan of bacon but on these cheese fries it is delicious. Topped with cheese and bacon or by themselves they are still delicious

OMGosh, the Coyote Bluff Cheese Fries are the best. The potatoes are sliced with the skin still on. They fry up 2 lbs of fires and put them on a plate and cover them in cheese, and top with green chilies. Yum! It's a mountain so unless you are hungry you need to bring a friend with you.
Best thing to pair with their fries, a Burger From Hell.

Buns Over Texas cheese fries are my favorite french fries in Amarillo. They are a little bit thicker than regular french fries and they are covered with a variety of cheeses. They all magically stick together on the plate and when you break off a piece of this deliciousness it creates that cheesy string. Then you dip i in their homemade ranch and everything is perfect.
