Major Drug Bust at Amarillo Greyhound Station Ends in 2 Arrests

It's back! One of my favorite things to stay in touch with is how many different drug busts there are at the Amarillo Greyhound bus station. It was such a hotspot for drug busts in 2025; there were at least three just that year, but it's been quiet in 2026.

Well, so much for that. It took us eight months of the year, but we finally have it. In fact, it's been nearly a year since the last major drug bust there, so I'm like a kid in the candy store right now.

The Collection, The Exchange, The Bust

On August 4th, the canine unit was present at the Greyhound station. As they often do, they brought the canine over towards the bus and had the dog sniff the bags. On this particular day, the canine found one. Police then kept an eye on the bag until someone claimed it. Jauntray Cleveland was the man who took the bag.

Now, most of these drug busts tend to happen right at that point, but police let this one play out because Cleveland walked the bag over to a woman on the sidewalk. That was when Cleveland handed the suitcase and another bag to Jaleisia Buckley. Once the exchange happened, agents arrived and took them both into custody.

Meth, Cocaine, Ecstasy, and Marijuana

When agents got inside the bags, they found a carnival of drugs. Methamphetamine, ecstasy, cocaine, and marijuana were all found in the bags, and not exactly small amounts of them. Definitely enough for trafficking.

545.1 grams of cocaine. 12 pounds of meth, nearly 370 grams of ecstasy, and a little more than 83 grams of marijuana were found between the two bags. Unsurprisingly, both Cleveland and Buckley are being held at the Randall County Jail on charges of possession with intent to distribute more than 500 grams of methamphetamine.
