Amarillo’s Potato Factory Scandal: Owner Now Facing Charges
It's been the talk of Amarillo for the last couple of weeks, and for good reason. Sadly, it isn't for how good the food is, and how it's one of the most popular places to grab a bite in the city.
The Potato Factory has found itself as the center of attention due to something being found in a bathroom that was, well, creepy to say the least.

What Happened At The Potato Factory In Amarillo
It was a couple of weeks ago when an employee found a cellular device in the bathroom there and alerted police. Police ultimately came to the Potato Factory to check it out.

As rumors began to run around the city as to who's device it was in the bathroom. Some were saying it was potentially the owner, others saying it was another employee.
Then a sign popped up on the door out of nowhere. Pending new ownership, will re-open Monday, it said. The rumor mill went bananas. Why did ownership change? Something just didn't seem right.
Charges Filed By Amarillo Police
Well, the rumor mill can officially come to an end. Amarillo Police filed charges against Randy Lee Nelson, the owner of the Potato Factory.
Nelson has been charged with two counts of “Tamper/Fabricate Physical Evidence with Intent to Impair,” along with one count of “Invasive Visual Recording Bathroom/Dressing Room.” As of right now, it's not believed that he is in custody.
