It's one of those specialized things, but it's so big in Amarillo that we have a couple of them floating around town. I'm talking about having high tea. A chance to dress and feel sophisticated, while enjoying a great time with the girls.

Yes, guys, you're welcome too, and I know several who've attended. One of the places here in Amarillo, though, has shut its doors...but only temporarily, and it's all for a good reason.

Golden Rose Tea Room Gone...For Now

It was back in January 2023 when the Golden Rose Tea Room opened its doors. Over the course of the first year, the place began to gain some serious traction, and by 2025, it was the premier place to grab high tea.

Now, the Golden Rose has shut their doors, but only temporarily. When they reopen them, it won't be the same doors that open. They're headed to a new location to better serve all the tea fans of Amarillo.

Where Is Golden Rose Moving To

They're going to be sliding into a pretty prominent and busy area of the city as they make their move to 2493 I-40. If you're not quite sure where that is, it's in that shopping center where the Donut Stop is off I-40 and Georgia.

According to the post, they're looking at opening around late May, early June. They attempted to get it opened a bit sooner, but were unable to make it happen. They got fully moved out of their prior location on May 2nd.

Golden Rose Society Membership

With their move comes something very exciting for you tea enthusiasts, but it's a VERY select opportunity, and you'll have to act quickly. You can become a member of the Golden Rose Society, and it comes with some nice perks.

For $200, you will gain membership for a year. With your membership, you'll receive a ticket to an exclusive evening tea service for members only, your tea pricing locked in for a full year, loose leaf tea samples each month curated exclusively for members, and first access for event reservations. You can get all the details on the membership on their website.
