There's been a lot of building going on in Amarillo lately, and one of the hot spots these days is Coulter near the Loop. It all started with that Toot'n Totum that opened a while back, right there on the corner. A Braum's is there as well, but outside of that, it was just open space.

Then came the Market Street they built up there, and it instantly became the new hot spot to build things. A Valvoline oil change business opened up, and now we're off to the races as two new places are currently being built, and both appear pretty close to being finished.

A New Banking Option

There is a building that has gone up pretty quickly, essentially in the parking lot of Market Street. There has been a lot of speculation on what it could be, considering there aren't any signs around saying what's "coming soon".

If you weren't aware, it's going to be a Chase Bank location. When it was first announced last year, they were projecting an opening in October of 2026, but based on how fast the building is coming together, it appears it will be sooner than that.

Car Wash Coming To Coulter

Across the street, you see a much bigger building being constructed. There was some initial speculation that it was going to be an automotive repair shop based on how some of the bays on it looked, but those who believed that will be surprised to find out it's not that.

A new IQ Car Wash will be opening up soon, giving those on that end of town a closer place to go and wash their vehicles. If you don't know about IQ, they've got the touchless car wash, as well as multiple bays to do it yourself if you prefer that...which I actually do. There's something therapeutic about it.
