One of the great things to do on a Saturday in the summer is to head to the local farmers markets and shop.   You can find all sorts of wonderful things at a farmers market.  Of course, fruits and vegetables, but you can find so many other items.  Jellies and jams, honey, t-shirts, crafts, homemade soaps, cookies, pretzels, jewelry and so much more.

This farmers market is truly a farmers market with produce, both fruits, and vegetables.  However, certain things are just now going in the ground, while others will follow later.  This means stuff won't be sprouting and available early on.  That's why this market opens in July and stays open til the first frost.  The market will be open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 7 am.  The Golden Spread Farmers Market is located in the parking lot of Sunset Center on Plains Blvd.
