IQ Car Wash Expands Again as Amarillo Growth Surges

As Amarillo continues to grow, new businesses are opening up all over the city.  It's not just one area. It's happening everywhere, and it's great to see the growth. Amarillo businesses are also expanding, bringing the convenience of their products to more of the area.

Back in 2022, a new car wash moved into town, bringing the convenience of having your car washed automatically with brushes or brush-free, and they also offer an area where you can wash your car yourself. Because sometimes you want to do the dirty work.

The Growth of IQ Car Wash in Amarillo

IQ Car Wash opened up on Bell Street just north of Hillside in 2022.  Since then, there have always been cars zipping in and out to get washed. There is just something about a clean car. The demand is always there, and that's why IQ Car Wash is expanding to bring even more convenience to Amarillo.

If you haven't been down South Coulter near Loop 335 in a while, then you haven't seen all the growth happening in the area, and now IQ will be joining those new businesses that have opened on that stretch of road.

South Coulter Continues to Add New Businesses

According to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, IQ Car Wash has plans to open another location at 8590 S Coulter St.

Project Timeline and Cost Expectations

The project was scheduled to start the last week of November with plans of completion by June 2026, and according to the TDLR, the project is expected to cost $475,000,000. That number seems enormous for a car wash, especially when you compare it to others built in the last few years that are the same size. It's probably safe to assume it was a typo and is supposed to be $4.75 million, but with prices these days, who knows?
