Does This Mean No More Rolled Ice Cream in Amarillo?

For us, that was rolled ice cream.  Rolled ice cream was available in the bigger cities and it was a cool treat.  Amarillo finally had a few places open up that made the cool rolled ice cream in 2018.

Rolled Ice Cream is where they take some cream and pour it over a special frozen plate, then they add the other ingredients like cookies, fruit, etc.  They mix them together and keep flattening them over the plate until it is mixed and then frozen.  Once it is frozen they scrape it off the plate into rolls, put it in a cup and top it with your choice of toppings. It is a delicious treat.

Sweet Charlie's is a rolled ice cream shop located in Townsquare Village.  It's been open since August 11, 2018.

However, as of late, it seems that Sweet Charlie's is closed. As in closed for good.  Looking through reviews, the rolled ice cream shop would be closed during their posted hours.  Patrons would stop by 2 hours before closing and the lights would be turned off.  Some ordered online only to find when they got to the shop, it was closed, and were unable to get their ice cream or a refund.

Multiple people have said that they were told by workers that the store was officially closing.

A place that is regularly posted on social media, shows its last post on November 2, 2022.

As of this time, nothing on the shop doors or their social media pages or online states that they are closed for good.

We reached out to Sweet Charlie's to get a confirmation on the odd hours or if they are indeed officially closed.  At the time of posting, we had yet to receive a response.  We will continue to keep you updated on what is going on if we receive a response.
