Yes, it may be wintertime, but ice cream tastes its best when it's freezing outside.

Amarillo has its share of great places to get ice cream and it seems that more and more of those places are closing.  Earlier this week, we shared that Sweet Charlie's looks to have closed for good. During the previous Sweet Charlie's conversation, someone had said that Cold Stone Creamery was closing.

NO! NOT COLD STONE?

Amarillo cannot lose another great place to get ice cream,  I mean where else am I going to get that delicious Brown Sugar ice cream with some graham crackers mixed in?  Nowhere!

I can't imagine why Cold Stone Creamery would be closing its doors.  I mean they just added Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory to the store just a little over a year ago.

I decided to bypass the rumor mill and just go to the source.  I reached out to the owner, Victor Viduarri, and asked him.

There is absolutely NO truth to that. We are NOT closing our doors.

Whew!

That's great news, I thought Amarillo was going to have to settle for scooped or soft-serve ice cream with toppings, not mix-ins.

In our conversation about how Cold Stone Creamery is NOT closing, they have some really great deals coming up.   In fact, you can get your Valentine a chocolate-dipped strawberry bouquet.  Plus, they are also doing heart boxes of chocolates.  However, I would suggest you order early.
