Village Bakery & Deli Opens in Amarillo’s Town Square Village

Amarillo is growing, and new businesses are moving in all the time. It seems that a new business has kind of snuck in under the radar, but if you love pies, sandwiches, and a salad bar, you are going to love this new place that has moved into Town Square Village.

From Shelby's Diner to Town Square Village

The owners of this new restaurant are not new to the restaurant business; they have been serving the residents of Amarillo for years. Shelby's Diner first opened in Amarillo in 2022 at Tradewinds Airport. Then, in 2025, the owners of Shelby's Diner opened a second location called Town Square Diner in Town Square Village.

What Happened to the Old PJs Coffee Spot?

Then, in December 2025, PJs Coffee closed its location in Town Square Village after less than a year. We started noticing things happening in the empty building at 9180 Town Square Blvd. Suite 1310, but at the time we could not get an answer to our messages about what was moving in.

But now we know.

It's Village Bakery & Deli. Village Bakery & Deli is now open in Town Square Village from the folks who brought you Shelby's and Town Square Diner.

However, Village Bakery & Deli brings the sweet treats: pies!

Hours at Village Bakery & Deli

Village Bakery will be open Monday through Saturday, 10 am to 9 pm, and Sunday 10 am to 3 pm. They are located at 9180 Town Square Blvd., Suite 1310.

They will be serving up delicious sandwiches, and they have a salad bar. One thing that disappeared from Amarillo is a decent salad bar. There are few places that offer a salad bar, and now we have another option.

The Pies at Village Bakery & Deli

Now let's talk about pies. They have coconut cream, chocolate cream, chocolate peanut butter, and pecan. I'm sure the flavors will expand with the seasons. They also have bundts in different flavors, cookies, fudge, and more. It's a bakery too, so get ready for lots of fun and delicious pastries.
