So the John Stiff Skate Park in Amarillo has always been the go-to spot for all kinds of people at all times of the day and night. As someone who has spent much time hanging out at this park in my high school years, I can honestly say that this location earned a spot in my heart.

Although I don't go as much anymore, I've noticed something that's begun to irk me. It seems like there's an overabundance of graffiti spray-painted all over the concrete.

A Bit Too Much Spray Paint

At first, it had a bit of a charm to it, with graffiti here and there, which gave the place some identity. But now, it's gotten a bit excessive, with the spray paint completely covering many parts of the park.

Now I am not exactly an expert on cleaning concrete at any kind of public park, but it feels like it's about time the city should step in and do something about it. John Stiff Park as a whole is a pretty popular park in Amarillo, and the current look of the Skate Park just is not a very good look.

It's Time To Give It a Wash

I hate to say it, but it's starting to look pretty crummy, and it's honestly starting to take away from the whole identity of the skate park. The skate park is a really cool place to go, and it's a shame to see it slowly start to lose its luster.

It does not have to take complete precedence over any other public restoration projects but hopefully, it is something that the City of Amarillo has begun to take notice of.

Amarillo Landmarks: Negative Yelp Reviews

Yelp can be a strange and angry place. That's what I found out recently when I decided to sort the reviews by "lowest rating" first.

I was okay with the people upset over bad service and what not. But I came across a few reviews that, for lack of a better word, left me speechless in their scathing negative reviews on some of Amarillo's most iconic places. Prepare your self for plenty of head shaking and "I dunno" shrugs.
