‘Teen Mom’ Star Jenelle Evans Splits From Husband David Eason
The former MTV reality star announced the news via Instagram on Thursday (October 31), revealing that after much contemplation this is the right decision for her and her family. In a lengthy message, she also confirmed she and her children no longer live with Eason and that she's already filed divorce paperwork.
“With time away from Teen Mom, I’ve started to look at my life differently and I know I need to make changes. I’m starting that now,” she wrote. “The kids and I have moved away from David. Nobody gets into a marriage expecting it to end but I know that’s what is best for me, and for my kids. Today I’ve filed papers to start that process. I appreciate the support from everybody who has asked how I am. Me and the kids are doing great."
We need some time to be together, but you’ll hear from us again soon," Evans added.
The couple’s breakup comes six months after Eason shot and killed their family dog Nugget. He later admitted to killing the animal after revealing it tried to bite their daughter.
“I don't give a damn what animal bites my baby on the face… whether it be your dog or mine, a dog is a dog and I don't put up with that s--t at all,” he wrote on social media at the time. “I’m all about protecting my family, it is my life's mission. Some people are worth killing or dying for and my family means that much to me. You can hate me all you want but this isn't the first time the dog bit Ensley aggressively.”
Eason's shocking actions led to a lot more drama for the family because the pair's children were later temporarily removed from their custody. Evans was also fired from Teen Mom as a result of the whole controversy.
