Fans Vote Katy Perry Their Fave International Artist at 2012 MuchMusic Video Awards

Katy Perry may have a full shelf full of awards, but she should consider adding some easy outfits to her wardrobe for when she has to make quick changes like she did tonight. When she nabbed the coveted Ur Fave International Artist trophy at the 2012 MuchMusic Video Awards tonight (June 17), she was only wearing the sparkling nude bodysuit she sported during her performance of ‘Wide Awake.’

‘Pretty Little Liars’ starlet Lucy Hale presented the final award of the night to Perry, who insisted she was surprised … but considering how often shows like this are rehearsed, we can’t help but think she may have just wanted to show off her goods a bit more.

“This is really heavy,” she breathed, taking her trophy before launching into her expressions of gratitude. “Thank you to EMI Canada, thank you to MuchMusic, thank you to my Canadian fans,” she gushed. “I had no idea I was going to win an award after I performed or else I would have put on more clothes,” she insisted. “See you next record!”

Perry was a multiple award winner, nabbing the International Video of the Year by an Artist earlier for ‘Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.).’ Congrats, Katy. Now go cover up!
