New Movies: ‘Captain Phillips,’ ‘Machete Kills’
It's an action-packed weekend at theaters, with two new thrillers arriving—one based on true events, the other a sequel to a movie that not too many saw, but, well, there's a sequel anyway.
'Captain Phillips'
This thriller tells the tale of the U.S. cargo ship Maersk Alabama, which was attacked by Somali pirates in 2009, resulting in a long, tense standoff between the ship's captain, Richard Phillips, and the lead pirate, Muse.
