One Direction Hear the Horrors of Being Normal in ‘Family Guy’ Clip
One Direction may be on hiatus, but the British boy band will be appearing together on national television Sunday night, albeit in their animated forms.
The heartthrobs will be making a cameo on Sunday night's episode of Family Guy which airs on FOX. And while the four members -- Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson -- will be seen in one of the show's famous cutaway gags, only Payne and Tomlinson actually recorded dialogue for the show.
According to Entertainment Weekly, in the episode titled "Run, Chris, Run," the foursome will be seen in a joke about Stewie Griffin (voiced by Seth MacFarlane) explaining to Brian that he has the ability to connect with today's youth.
The clip, which you can view above, cuts to Stewie with the four guys telling a horror story around a campfire that seemingly rattles them to the core. We won't spoil the punchline for you but suffice it to say, it seems that Payne and Tomlinson were perfectly fine with making fun of themselves.
In a statement to EW, co-executive producer Cherry Chevapravatdumrong told the site: “Liam and Louis were very funny and an absolute pleasure to work with. Or, as the Directioner part of me would say, ‘OMG LILO I’M SCREAMING!’”
So while it may not be a full-blown reunion on stage, this Family Guy episode will likely have to tide Directioners until the next time they choose to come together as a band.
