Do you both love Pink and hate the current theme song for The Ellen DeGeneres Show? Then today is officially the first day of the rest of your life, because Pink recorded a brand new theme song for Ellen’s show, and it’s finally been released.

Pink wrote and recorded the track, entitled “Today’s The Day,” and Greg Kurstin produced it. It was officially released to iTunes today (September 10), and got an extra boost of promo from Pink when she stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to perform the song.

The song’s lyrics are, in typical Pink fashion, meant to inspire, a smart move on her part considering she recently insulted half the performers at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards on Instagram last week for failing to do just that. She wrote, "I felt embarrassed and sad. And old. We’re getting old. But in all seriousness; I felt sad because music is supposed to inspire. It saved my life. This trash won’t save any kid’s life.”

She continued, "In a world that is even scarier and with lives still worth saving, who will stand up and have soul? Disenfranchised to say the least. Let down by my industry and my peers.”

Though she clarified that she did enjoy some of the performances, writing, “Beside Macklemore and Pharrell and Bieber (pre-sob fest) and the Weeknd, Tori Kelly was dope too. The rest was gross and embarrassing and hard for this aging pop star to believe.”

You can listen to "Today's The Day" above.
