Simon Cowell is used to people not appreciating his opinions. But during the finale of 'Britain's Got Talent' on Saturday (June 8), one previously rejected contestant decided she'd take his feedback over easy and pelted him with raw eggs.

Opera singers Richard and Adam Johnson were performing 'The Impossible Dream' when a member of the orchestra accompanying them left her seat, stormed to the front and began throwing eggs at the cantankerous Cowell while the brothers continued to sing (props to them for missing nary a beat).

Meanwhile, Cowell scrambled (sorry) to seek protection, ducking out of the protein onslaught.

It turns out the woman, according to PEOPLE, was Natalie Holt -- a former contestant who'd been shot down by Cowell and wanted revenge.

"I want to apologize to Richard and Adam for overshadowing their performance," Holt said later. "I've never done anything like this before and in hindsight I have realized it was a silly thing to do."

Best of all, Simon seemed to take it very well. (Maybe he carries Tabasco on him.)
