When it comes time for the Amarillo Tri-state Fair we all know what's most important. Yeah, sure. It's fun to go out and ride the rides, check out the petting zoo, and go to the rodeo. But, the real draw is the food. Right?

The State Fair of Texas® is a fried food lovers dream.  Every year there are the Big Tex® Choice awards and they award the Best Fried Food Recipe.  So what kind of fair will be showing up at the Fair this year?  Check out the finalists.

Of all the foods a person might deep fry, this could be the strangest. At the Texas State Fair on Monday, a deep-fried concoction of bubblegum and marshmallows won the prize for the most creative dish.
