Gilmore Girls fans were lucky enough to get one revival, and it’s likely a second go wouldn’t carry the same urgency. Even stars Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel aren’t 100% certain of a need to revisit the Gilmore Girls, despite that closing twist.

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: however arduous each TV revival proves, fans will inevitably clamor for another continuation. Netflix’s Gilmore Girls in particular ended A Year in the Life on the cliffhanger creators always intended, but may now be in “preliminary” conversations for another followup, reports reveal.

Less than a week will see the Gilmore Girls dropping a year’s worth of reunion in time for a post-Thanksgiving binge, as the four-part Day in the Life catches long-lost fans up on all of Stars Hollow. This past weekend saw Netflix breaking with its traditional release strategy, to debut Baz Luhrmann’s The Get Down in the first of multiple installments. That owed to chaotic production, but where Gilmore Girls bosses hoped to release the four Year in the Life revival specials in equal installments, Netflix believes fans “would’ve killed us” to break with tradition.

Each order contains three to five items inspired by the show and its fictional Connecticut town.
