Throw another movie franchise on the TV remake pile, as it seems Paramount Television looks to resurrect Patrick Swayze classic 'Ghost' on the small screen. 'Fringe' alumni Jeff Pinkner and Akiva Goldsman have been tasked with conjuring a pilot for the latest TV reboot, but what network would a potential 'Ghost' TV series land on?

1991's 'Point Break' is the latest film to be dusted off for remaking, as former cinematographer Ericson Core has been hired to direct it, and there's already a finished script. Which means this might actually happen. Great.

The late Patrick Swayze’s Johnny Castle character from ‘Dirty Dancing’ has been immortalized in wax by Madame Tussauds Hollywood. Swayze’s widow, Lisa Niemi, who was on hand for the unveiling, posed with the statue, recreating a scene in which Johnny taught Jennifer Grey’s Baby character the importance of balance in dance.

Every time I hear that Hollywood is doing a remake, I again hit my head against the wall, why, why, why would they want to do this, why ruin a great movie.  I understand that remakes are going to happen.  I realize that they want to bring a great story to a new generation, but why, this why now.  Hollywood is wanting to remake Point Break.

If you thought Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights was bad, but you tolerated it just because you wanted to see Patrick Swayze in a cameo appearance, get ready because Hollywood is remaking Dirty Dancing.  Insert the BIG sigh here.
