This week is National Tourism Week and I thought I would write up a blog about the best tourists spots in Amarillo, Texas and the surrounding areas.

My son and I went into a sandwich shop yesterday to have lunch,(yeah, I know, sandwiches on Mother's Day but it is what we both wanted). By the time I left I was so frustrated with the customer service that I actually contemplated calling the 1-800 number to gripe about the service.

Last night I was watching Grey's Anatomy and the McDonald's commercial with the talking lemon came on.  That commercial freaks me out! If you don't know the commercial check it out.

First Grader Beanie Mar saved her friend Aniyah Rigmaiden when she started choking on an apple.  Beanie went into action and performed the Heimlich Maneuver after seeing it on the Disney Channel Show A.N.T Farm.

If the title seems cryptic to you, it wasn't meant to be but apparently Fig Newtons aren't hip and cool.  So in order to make them hip and cool Nabisco is dropping the Fig from the name.

Jessica Simpson, just had her baby girl, Maxwell Drew and now comes the challenge of dropping all that baby weight.

OK so I ran across this YouTube video and had to share.  It made me laugh.  So I thought you might like a laugh as well.  It is a compilation of Val Kilmer taking off his glasses in a lot of movies.  It amazes me how many times he does this and it also amazes me that people notice.

According to a survey, 65% of people don't take a lunch break.  I am one of those 65% who don't take a lunch break for the obvious reasons, I'm on air during lunch time.

So it is National Oatmeal Cookie Day and either you love oatmeal cookies or you don't.  The oatmeal cookie has a tendency to be a love/hate relationship.  So in honor of oatmeal cookie day I thought I would share my grandmother's recipe.

I'll admit I do a lot of my grocery shopping at Walmart because it is a bit cheaper.  However, I also find myself doing a lot of other shopping as well.  I'm I the only one?  I walked into Walmart the other day for groceries and walked out with clothes, beauty products, potting soil, a movie and a few other things I just couldn't "live without". Am I the only one who cannot go into Walma
