Regis Philbin’s last day on ‘Live with Regis & Kelly’ was this morning. But before his big finale he visited David Letterman last night, and the late night host almost killed him.
Letterman gave Regis a new Vespa as a gift. Regis went outside the studio to give it a spin and…well, it’s Regis, so he promptly fell off the bike.
It’s sad to think that next week is Regis Philbin’s last week of hosting ‘Live with Regis & Kelly’ after 28 years. The show will continue, of course, as Kelly Ripa signed a new, five-year contract yesterday, but it won’t be the same without this household name.

As he announced earlier this year, beloved television personality Regin Philbin is retiring from the syndicated ‘Live! with Regis and Kelly’ on November 18 after more than a quarter-century co-hosting the various incarnations of the program.
A new, permanent co-host hasn’t been named yet to replace Regis Philbin after he leaves ‘Live! with Regis & Kelly,’ so a rotating panel of celebrities will serve as guest host. First up: Jerry Seinfeld.

The show, which started in 1983 as a local New York City program called ‘The Morning Show,’ went national with co-host Kathie Lee Gifford in 1988. Actress Kelly Ripa stepped in as Gifford’s replacement after she left t
