Russian Teacher Orders Students to Take a Bizarre 23-Hour Exam
Final exams are never fun, but for one university class in Russia, their test was particularly bad.
Not only did the instructor treat the class as her own personal happy hour, she also made it an impromptu sleepover.
In a complaint written by the entire class, students said physics instructor Landysh Zaripova ignored them, stole away for drinks, and rambled about her love for clothes and business interests.
Even worse? The exam started at 10 a.m. and class wasn’t dismissed until 9 a.m. the following morning.
For her part, Zaripova explained the oral test that required each student to answer questions with her one-on-one simply took a long time because “the group was big — 15 people, and the subject difficult.”
She also denies the claims that she was drunk. “Do you think I am an idiot?” she said. “I was sober. The students just decided to get revenge on me because they couldn’t pass the exam.”
Staying up nearly a full day for a test is certainly draining enough, so let’s hope they didn’t pull an all-nighter in the hours leading up to it.
