What To Do If You're Sleepy Behind The Wheel In Texas

There's very little reason for this to be such a big problem in the Lone Star State. One reason why is that Texas is actually pretty friendly with the idea of people finding a spot to pull over and catch a few winks so they don't fall asleep while driving. It's perfectly legal to sleep in your car in Texas. Follow the link above for all of the details. This is honestly the best thing to do if you're getting tired behind the wheel.

Another very simple way to prevent driving drowsy is to simply plan your trip ahead of time. If you do have to be traveling later at night, take a nap during the day so you aren't as tired. Take breaks as needed. Get out and stretch your legs, get something to drink, and wake yourself up. You could also let someone else drive if you aren't traveling alone.

Don't push yourself to go the distance just to end up in a dire situation.
