The Famous Idaho Potato Tour Stopped By the Station Today

So what I have learned from working in radio is you never know from one day to another what the day will bring.  From having baby chicks in the studio to having celebrities, it is always and adventure.  Today was no different.  We had a visit from a giant spud.

This was a surprise to us, I walked up to the front of the office and some nice folks with bright yellow Idaho Potato shirts were sitting on the couch and out side was a big giant spud.  Yes a huge potato.

Pretty cool, right?  So this thing weighs 6 tons.

It is equal to 32, 346 medium sized potatoes

You could get 30, 325 servings of mashed potatoes

It would take you 2 years and nine months to bake it (and that's if you could fina an oven big enough)

Plus, it would make 1.4 billion french fries.

Now that's a big Spud.

They were telling us their next stop was in Albuequerque, NM.
