The new sneak peak of the HBO vampire soap's latest run puts the godly Bill (or Billith) at the center, showing off some impressive new abilities now that the good Mr. Compton has come to embody the vampire deity. Just three weeks from 'True Blood's sixth season return, and HBO has offered to whet our appetites with another tantalizing trailer for the fang-banging hit's most epic season yet. Peppered among a hearty focus on a resurrected Bill and his new abilities (up, up, and away!) are a heaping helping of hookups and vampire lust from all corners of the map. After all, the series always finds ways to get the blood pumping.
‘True Blood’ season 6 features a showrunner change from Mark Hudis to Bryan Buckner, season 5 guest star and former ‘Last Resort’ star Robert Patrick has been upgraded to series regular, while ‘True Blood’ season 6 also features the return of Anna Camp‘s Sarah Newlin, Luke Grimes as the “Jim Morrison of vampires,” 'Rubicon' star Arliss Howard as the sinister Governor Truman Burrell, ‘House‘s’ Karolina Wydra, Rutger Hauer as mysterious vampire Macklyn, and ‘Eastenders’ star Robert Kazinsky as a series regular and new Fae love interest to Sookie.
Premiering June 16, True Blood’ season 6 will take place over 10 episodes, down from the usual 12, largely to accommodate series star Anna Paquin’s pregnancy with co-star Stephen Moyer.
