Two More Reagor-Dykes Employees Plead Guilty For Roles in Fraud
Former Reagor-Dykes employees Pepper Laray Rickman (47) and Sherri Lynn Wood (53) have pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
Rickman and Wood so far are the 6th and 7th employees who have pleaded guilty in the fraud, the others being Sheila Miller, Lindsay Williams, Diana Urias, Paige Johnston and former CFO Shane Smith.
In a practice called "dummy flooring," employees would go through records for vehicle identification numbers of car Reagor Dykes had already sold, then submitted new loan applications to Ford Motor Credit using the old WINs. This falsely indicated that the company was seeking a loan in order to repurchase the vehicle for resale.
Rickman and Wood both face up to 5 years in federal prison and may be required to pay at least $27 million in restitution.
