Ways To Celebrate New Year’s Eve With Kids [VIDEO]
New Year's Eve is tomorrow! If you have a house full of kids and need ideas on how to celebrate, I have you covered.
Every since I had my son, I try and make every holiday special for him. And New Year's Eve is no different! We go all out and make sure that we ring in the New Year in style. Here are a few ways you can make NYE special for kids of any age.
1.) Have a Slumber Party!
Invite family or friends of your kids to come sleep over. You can make different snack foods and play party games.
2.) Have a Formal Dinner Party
Your family can dress up in their best clothes and bust out the fine china for an awesome dinner before toasting the new year.
3.) Movie Night
Get into your favorite pjs, snuggle up and watch a good family movie.
4.) Game Night
Let everyone in the family pick their favorite board game and have fun.
5.) Countdown and Watch The Ball Drop
You may not be in Times Square, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy watching the ball drop.
In reality, it doesn't matter what you do as long as you make it fun! We always get party hats and party favors. I make all my family's favorite snacks and we toast at midnight. You can check out my favorite non-alcoholic bubbly drinks below!
Yummy Cotton Candy
Several Bags of cotton candy
Sparkling Water
Add a chunk of cotton candy to the bottom of the glass and then pour the sparkling water on top to melt the candy. It becomes a deliciously sweet drink.
Fruit Drink
3-4 8 oz cans of your favorite fruit drink
1-2 Liter bottle of seltzer water.
Mix all ingredients together in a pitcher and serve chilled. You can garnish with fruit for as an extra touch.
Family Friendly Sangria
4 cups Cherry Juice
8 Cups of Sparkling Water
Fresh fruit slices
Mix together in a large pitcher and serve chilled.
Sparkling Tea
2 cups cold tea
2 cups cranberry-strawberry juice
2 cups sparkling water
Mix the ingredients together and garnish with raspberries.
Fake Champagne
2 cups ginger ale
2 cups sparkling white grape juice
2 cups pineapple juice
Mix ingredients together and serve chilled.
These are great drinks to toast the New Year. While I love them all, I made them for my co-workers and a majority of them like the fake champagne the best. :) Enjoy!
