You Are Invited To Help Paint a Mural and Eat Mini-Pancakes In Amarillo This Weekend
Tomorrow (6/5) is a busy day in Amarillo. Of all the events taking place, this one may offer the most unique opportunity.
The community is invited to help paint a mural on the wall of the amphitheater at the Black Historical Culture Center. Don't worry if you're not much of an artist. It's going to be a "paint by numbers" mural.
You will be allowed to paint a small portion of the mural, which is going to read "Change happens when people start talking." You can follow this link to get all of the details and information.
Not only will you be allowed to help paint the mural, but there are other things planned for the day as well. There are going to be several organizations from the area there with info and resources for the community. Also, as is the case with any party worth attending in Amarillo, there will be live music and food trucks.
The whole event kicks off at around 10 AM tomorrow (6/5) morning. Fortunately, this is one more event that doesn't have too much overlap with other things happening in town so you can add it to your to-do list for the weekend.
There are a lot of new food trucks popping up in town. No matter what it is that your palette is crying out for on any given day, we pretty much have a food truck for that.
One of the several new ones is Martha's Minis. The "Minis" is for the mini-pancakes that they make. You basically order them in bulk, and get them covered in everything from powdered sugar to ice cream.
You can check out what they have to offer so far at their Instagram and TikTok.
This whole event sounds like a great way for the community to come together and enjoy what is supposed to be a nice Saturday morning.
