The world is an ever changing place, especially when it comes to technology. You can keep up with the latest tech and learn new skills thanks to Amarillo College's Innovation Outpost.

I stumbled across a post on Facebook from our resident film studio, Sharpened Iron Studios. In the post, they describe Innovation Outpost as a place for students and community members to collaborate, innovate, and grow in order to compete in the 21st century economy.

The thing that grabbed my immediate attention was that the Innovation Outpost isn't just a place for students. Usually when I see something like this, I end up feeling like I missed the boat by a couple of decades. That's not the case with Innovation Outpost.

Several times I saw it mentioned that Innovation Outpost is for business leaders, community members, and students. This is encouraging if you feel like you're being left behind by tech.

On the Outpost's website, the phrase "digital technology landscape" gets used a lot. More than once they mention the need for "digital skills." From what I have seen, it's the hope of Innovation Outpost to help everyone get the skills they need to stay competitive.

When I decided check out the programs offered at Innovation Outpost, I saw only three. Data Analytics, Project Management Certification, and Human Resources Certification were the ones listed.

Project Management is exactly what it sounds like; managing big projects. Data Analytics gets you into the deep waters of Excel to analyze data. Human Resources is exactly that, digging into everything that goes on with being in HR.

Honestly, I hope to see the list of programs offered grow. The way we work is changing. It's more tech focused. It's more digital. I'm glad to see something in the panhandle aimed at helping all of us stay in the game.

This Huge Cabin In Palo Duro Canyon Is Top-Notch Glamping

This cabin is (to us) the definition of "glamorous camping".

This three bedroom rental is tucked away in the Palo Duro Canyon. It's a cabin with serious room, meaning it can fit up to eight guests--a girls trip, family vacation, or any bigger group.

The cabin is available for booking through glampinghub.com and the description along with the provided photos is enough to catch the eye of anyone ready to get out of town and away from it all.....without having to go very far.

It's a beautiful place with woodwork throughout, full amenities, and all the mandatory electornics (and WiFi!). If a group of people were to split the cost of their stay between each other, it is without a doubt one of the most budget-friendly options for vacations.

The four day minimum stay required to make a booking is the only drawback to this diamond in the rough of a rental property--but it's nothing a little planning ahead and vacation time can't remedy.
