Ripped From the Headlines-Body of Proof to Mirror Casey Anthony Story

ABC's Body of Proof will be doing a ripped from the headlines story in an upcoming episode.  This episode will mirror the Casey Anthony story.

Body of Proof is about Megan Hunt (Dana Delany) a neurosurgeon whose career was ended after a car accident .  She took a job as a medical examiner who helps solve murders by listening to what the dead bodies tell her.

According to Entertainment Weekly:

EW has learned exclusively that the writers of the Dana Delany drama will spin their own Casey Anthony-type tale about a young woman named Hillary Stone who is acquitted for murdering her son. The action will begin on the day Hillary is released from prison — and guess who is waiting for her on the outside?

Academy Award Winner Marcia Gay Harden will star in the episode as the "Nancy Grace" type reporter.  Rita Wilson also joins the cast in this episode playing Hillary's mother Ruth.

The show is set to air January 3rd.
