Channing Tatum Won’t Be Starring in a ‘Ghostbusters’ Movie After All
A few days ago, Channing Tatum got honest about a few things, including the status of that second Ghostbusters reboot. The Magic Mike star made it sound like the project was stuck in development, toiling away under the watchful eyes of countless Sony execs. Today, it looks like Tatum was underselling the situation. In a separate interview with his producing partner (and Magic Mike XXL co-director), Reid Carolin, it was revealed that Tatum won’t be busting any ghosts after all.

The first teaser for Magic Mike XXL was a glorious thing of hilarious beauty, perfectly deploying Ginuwine’s “Pony” and promising that yes, this is a sequel we want to see. ‘Magic Mike’ was a perfect storm of a movie. For some of the moviegoing population, it was a chance to load yourself up with frozen margaritas and go watch a bunch of extremely attractive, chiseled men strut their stuff on camera. For cinephiles, it was the next film from the ever-versatile genius Steven Soderbergh, whose filmography is littered with experimental and pop masterpieces alike. It was a big hit, a sequel was greenlit, and now, the first ‘Magic Mike XXL’ poster has arrived, placing returning star Channing Tatum (and his abs) front and center.

Somehow, 'Foxcatcher' star Channing Tatum is the very first male guest to participate in a rousing round of Jimmy Fallon's 'Box of Lies' on 'The Tonight Show.' Fallon's results have been mixed -- the guy isn't very good at lying, especially when a giggly celebrity makes googley eyes at him in an attempt to throw him off his game -- but he has been getting better in recent weeks.

As director Bennett Miller said, the whole premise behind 'Foxcatcher' -- that of a disturbed millionaire coaching a team of Olympic wrestling hopefuls at his home without knowing a thing about the sport -- was "funny...until it's not, and then it's not funny at all." Following the film's NYFF debut, a new 'Foxcatcher' trailer premiered online to show off the powerhouse performances from Steve Carell, Channing Tatum and Mark Ruffalo, and provide a full-length look at this early Oscar contender.

'22 Jump Street' gave us one of the most hilarious end credits sequences in comedy history, and one that seemed to signal to audiences that Phil Lord and Chris Miller were done with making 'Jump Street' movies, as it delivered concepts for about 20 fake sequels. But not so fast: '22 Jump Street' writer Rodney Rothman has been hired to return for '23 Jump Street,' so it seems like Ice Cube's threat to send our favorite undercover cops to medical school might not be out of the question.
