That doesn’t sound at all scary, right? Living in the Michael Myers house from the John Carpenter movie?

John Carpenter shocked us all when he revealed last week that not only is the new Halloween movie happening, it already has a director, a screenwriter, and a release date. The duo in charge of the project are comedy powerhouses David Gordon Green and Danny McBride, who are responsible for Vice Principals and Eastbound & Down, so at first it seems a little odd for them to take on a classic slasher franchise. But McBride revealed that they’ve established the movie’s place in the series and are definitely planning on some old-school horror.

No, this is not a drill. Paramount shelving the new Friday the 13th so soon before production was supposed to begin came as a somewhat sudden disappointment, but, to paraphrase Julie Andrews, when Hollywood closes a door, somewhere they open a window. As it turns out, that window is a Halloween reboot, which already has a director, a screenwriter, a studio, a release date, and, quite possibly, a score from the horror master himself, John Carpenter.

Halloween will be here before you know it, and picking out the perfect costume can be difficult.  However, if you don't want a lot of stress when it comes to finding the perfect costumes here's a list of some cute easy costumes.

The Amazingly Fun Farm has been a part of Halloween fun in Amarillo for years.  The  owners recently announced that they would be closing the Amazingly Fun Farms due to health issues.  Families were saddened by the announcement.  However, I have great news another family stepped in and purchased the land and plan on keeping the fun, but just as another name.

It seems that Halloween has become more of an adult holiday than it is for kids.  Well, not at my house.  As a matter of fact, we try to make it a family holiday.  We all dress up and make sure our son has the best time.  Here are some fun family activities that you might enjoy!
