When it comes to cookies, you have the cookies that everyone loves, chocolate chip, peanut butter, sugar, oatmeal, and even white chocolate macadamia cookies.  However, one cookie that doesn't get spoken of very often is the Gingersnap. So in honor of National Gingersnap day, we will honor this awesome cookie.

The gingersnap is made of ginger, cinnamon, molasses and nutmeg.  This cookie is wonderfully divine and delicious.  There are different types of gingersnaps.  The soft and chewy and the thin and crispy.  One of my favorite places to get gingersnaps is World Market.  They sell them in this big tin.  They are easily found during the holidays.  I haven't been by lately but I'm sure you can find a tin of gingersnaps.  I will admit that a little smear of Nutella on top of that gingersnap is a delicious addition.

So when was the last time you enjoyed a gingersnap?  Well make National Gingersnap Day the day, you go and have a couple or a dozen or the entire tin from World Market.  Seriously be careful of that tin of cookies, you'll eat one and before you know it they are halfway gone in an afternoon.  However, too many gingersnaps can cause some serious heartburn.
