Enjoying a day out at the local park is something that many of us take for granted. For some kids with special needs and disabilities, a day on the playground isn't as easy as you might think. That's where Milestones Development and Play Park in Lubbock will come in.

Milestones will be a new facility which hopes to bring the essence and feeling of a traditional, outside park, indoors. Children can play every day, whether it's 100˚ outside, 20˚ or there are 50 mph winds. In any kind of weather, it's always a beautiful, 70˚ day inside Milestones Park! But the developers, "Alstrom Angels," say it's more than just a play park, it's a place where parents can connect with their children and kids can experience the true joy of play together. All play structures within Milestones Park are custom-made to allow access for every child to play and explore. Each structure is oversized with wide walkways, so even parents can play alongside their children.

The capital campaign to raise funding continues and they are hoping to have doors open to everyone by late Spring or Summer of 2019. As of the beginning of March 2018, they have raised just over $3 million with a goal of around $6 million. If you would like to donate, you may do so by clicking here.
